To foster international tourism cooperation and exchange through “stations with shared names,” TRA held a press conference in Tokyo, Japan, in March alongside the Tourism Bureau to launch the “32?同名さん1日?长募集” (Recruitment of 32 People with Same Names as Stations to Serve as One-Day Station Masters) campaign. In September, the list was announced, inviting 32 Japanese representatives to visit Taiwan, tour the 32 TRA stations sharing names with their own, and experience being a one-day station master. The tour, spanning four days and three nights, was led by renowned Japanese singer Kobayashi Sachiko.

As part of an international tourism cooperation and exchange initiative based on “stations sharing the same name,” TRA held a press conference in Tokyo, Japan, in March with the Tourism Bureau to announce the “32?同名さん1日?长募集” (Call for 32 People with the Same Names as Stations to Serve as One-Day Station Masters). In September, the selected individuals were revealed. Thirty-two Japanese representatives were invited to visit Taiwan to tour the 32 TRA stations sharing names with theirs and experience serving as one-day station masters. The group was led by famous Japanese singer Kobayashi Sachiko for a four-day, three-night experiential journey.

The 32 Japanese railway fans split into seven groups to visit all 32 corresponding stations across Taiwan for two days of on-site exploration. Based on local tourist attractions and railway vision museums, they conducted guided tours, allowing Japanese participants to fully experience the unique charm and appeal of Taiwan-Japan stations sharing the same names, thereby boosting railway tourism between the two countries.
