228 Holiday Getaway to Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu for a Relaxing Three-Day Two-Night Trip

Located in the southern part of Penghu, the South Penghu Marine National Park is Taiwan’s ninth national park. It encompasses four islands — Dongjiyu, Xijiyu, Dongyupingyu, and Xiyupingyu — as well as surrounding islets, reefs, and sea areas. The Blue Cave on Xiyupingyu in Penghu is one of the famous attractions. There are also many other unique sights such as sea erosion caves, sea erosion platforms, and rock pillars.

In the old Donggang Pier of Houliau Village in Penghu, there’s a winding path leading to the azure sea. This pier has been abandoned for years, but after being discovered by chance, it gradually became a popular photography spot. This abandoned stone path winds into the sea like a sea serpent, with boundless azure waters stretching out before you. With the sea breeze blowing, it offers endless room for imagination.

The Fisherman’s Autumn Resort Hotel draws creative inspiration from intertidal organisms and sand dunes piled up by the sea. Its white slanted pillars, adorned with decorations resembling magical gemstones, conceptualizes visitors as mermaids, crafting an underwater castle full of vibrant colors. Unlike other ocean trails, a stone path only emerges at low tide, allowing visitors to cross the intertidal zone and step onto the islet.
