The Penghu Fireworks Festival is entering its "one-month countdown" – netizens are rallying friends: "Quick, request leave!"

The "Penghu International Marine Fireworks Festival," which began on April 18 this year, has now entered its final month. Of the remaining 11 shows, nine will be put on by Taiwanese fireworks teams. With their professional skills and familiarity with local weather conditions, they are expected to deliver spectacular performances. The other two shows will be handled by teams from Russia on June 16 and China on June 23. Seeing that there aren't many shows left, netizens quickly posted messages urging friends to "request leave ASAP!"

As the fireworks festival enters its final month, the June 2 (Thursday) show will feature the Bisha Leisure Learning Center of the Bisha Township Health Dance Association in Penghu County. This group previously participated in the Ministry of Culture’s Village Drama Performance Grand PK, winning top awards in Outstanding Village Band, Most Popular, and Best Performance, and will present a star-studded lineup. Additionally, Taiwan’s first youth group to study Eisa drumming in Okinawa will reinterpret traditional Okinawan music and dance with a modern twist, delivering a “Penghu × Okinawa” double-island summer vibe.

Most shows will take place at the Guanyinting Park in Magong City, with June 4 marking the first time the event will be held at Aimen Beach. The additional show on June 15 will return to Gueishan Beach. The visual rock band Poppy from Kaohsiung and the local post-rock band Turn Back will both show strong support for Gueishan, aiming to offer audiences a unique Gueishan Night experience.

Beyond the performances, there’s also a uniquely diverse “Fireworks Market,” featuring multiple special stalls opening at 7:00 PM, offering limited-edition festival merchandise such as T-shirts, ceramic coasters, washi tape, and paper fans.

★ Remaining Penghu Fireworks Festival Dates: May 30 (Mon), June 2 (Thu), June 6 (Mon), June 9 (Thu), June 11 (Sat), June 13 (Mon), June 16 (Thu), June 18 (Sat), June 20 (Mon), June 23 (Thu) — all at Guanyinting Park in Magong City. In addition, June 4 (Sat) will be at Aimen Beach, and June 15 (Wed) at Gueishan Beach.
