The annual Zhuzihu Calla Lily Festival officially kicks off on March 20. The 2015 festival is themed around the story of “Alice in Wonderland.” Visitors will see floral landscapes created by various farms, inspired by the fairy tale and its characters, designed to transport you into a surreal sea of flowers like a dream.

The 2015 Zhuzihu Calla Lily Festival runs from March 20 to April 26, lasting one month. In reality, the calla lilies continue to bloom until late May. During the festival, Zhuzihu offers free guided tours at 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM every weekend, taking visitors from the Zhuzihu entrance parking lot, Meihé Research Center (the former seed field office during the Japanese colonial period), the Gao Family Ancestral Hall, the Shuiche Liao Trail, the Cedar Plantation, to Dinghu, offering insights into the local culture and ecology around Zhuzihu.
