EVA Air launched its first Taipei-Houston flight on June 19, with the mission to be flown by the airline’s seventh brand-new Hello Kitty livery plane, the Starry Sky aircraft. EVA Air also stated that in order to maintain the exclusivity of the Hello Kitty livery planes, this Starry Sky aircraft will be the last Hello Kitty livery plane to be introduced by the airline.

To celebrate the launch of the Taipei-Houston route, EVA Air has partnered with Sanrio to host the “EVA AIR Hello Kitty Shining Star Concert – A Joyful Starry Sky Music Event.” The concerts will take place on May 9 (Saturday) at the National Concert Hall in Taipei and on May 17 (Sunday) at the Tainan Cultural Center, with two shows each day. EVA Air will specially decorate the concert venues with the livery style and elements of the Starry Sky aircraft. In addition to being accompanied by Hello Kitty, fans will also be delighted to find that the Twin Stars and My Melody are also flying together in the dazzling starry sky. All fans will feel as if they have stepped into a dreamy Hello Kitty wonderland as soon as they arrive at the concert venue.
