By MOOK Travel Life Network, Zhang Yingying | Translated and Reported With the growing trend of wellness and fitness, the popularity of yoga shows no signs of slowing down. Popular tourist spots in Tokyo have introduced outdoor yoga sessions, combining the scenic beauty of these attractions with yoga practice to create new incentives and highlights for visitors.

In its third year of operation, Tokyo Skytree launched an outdoor yoga event during spring and summer called “SOLA YOGA.” It promotes practicing yoga next to the Skytree, overlooking the beautiful sky and blue horizon, adding a new function to the space originally meant for sightseeing and entertainment. This also brings a healing atmosphere of yoga to the Tokyo Skytree scenery. The event is free, and free yoga mats are available on-site. Instructors will guide participants through beginner-level yoga moves, making it easy for first-timers to join.

Compared to Tokyo Skytree’s first foray into outdoor yoga, Roppongi Midtown’s grassy field yoga has been a long-running event. To celebrate Japan’s Golden Week this year, the “OPEN THE PARK” event reintroduced outdoor grassy yoga and even added nighttime sessions. Participants can practice yoga while gazing at the illuminated Tokyo Tower, creating an unforgettable yoga experience and allowing them to deeply appreciate Tokyo’s slower, nature-connected moments amid its bustling urban landscape.
