This year’s Hualong Sand Sculpture Festival spans 73 days, and has specially invited 27 sand sculptors from 13 countries — the United States, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Ireland, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Russia, South Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan — to participate in an international competition. With the theme "Toy United Nations," they used their exquisite craftsmanship to create playful works, offering a sensory experience unlike any before.

2015 Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival
Dates: May 2, 2015 – July 12, 2015
Tickets: General admission NT$100 / Group (20+ people) NT$90 / Students & seniors over 65 NT$80 / Free for people with disabilities and one accompanying person / Children under 6 NT$10 (insurance fee)
* First 1,000 visitors on May 2 enter for free.

Take any TRA train to Fulong Station, then walk about 5 minutes to reach the festival site
◎ By Car
Use one of the five designated shuttle bus pick-up points arranged by the organizers, and take a paid shuttle bus to the venue. Shuttle buses operate on weekends and holidays during the event period, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, approximately every 30 minutes (actual intervals may vary depending on traffic conditions). One-way fare: NT$15 per person.

The “Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival” has been extended until August 31, featuring newly created sand sculptures themed around “Prayer.” During the extension period, 10% of each ticket sale will be donated to the New Taipei City Government’s “Formosa Fun Coast Dust Explosion Relief Fund!”
The originally scheduled “Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival” from May 2 to July 12 had the theme “Toy United Nations.” However, after being severely damaged by a typhoon, some sculptures could not be restored. After discussion, these works will remain on display, and the theme for the extension period from July 13 to August 31 will be “After Tomorrow.” The organizers also announced that every weekend before the end of summer vacation in late August, there will be a “Sand Sculpture Destruction Show,” where one sculpture will be selected each week for visitors to help destroy, symbolizing rebirth through destruction.
