Another new highlight for Yilan tourismThe Changpi Lake Lakeside Trail officially opened on June 2, with the Sanchong Township Office investing NT$9 million to build a new ecological lakeside landscape corridor, where visitors can stroll and admire the beautiful scenery of Changpi Lake.The park is free of charge, and it has become a popular tourist destination in Yilan County, as well as a secret garden for locals to relax and exercise in the mornings and evenings, attracting a constant flow of visitors on holidays.

Huang Xiyong, the mayor of Sanchong Township, said that Changpi Lake is suitable for developing water-based leisure activities such as kayaking. He hopes to construct the trail using natural engineering methods while preserving the original forest landscape. The original Changpi Lake trail only allowed visitors to walk back and forth along the same path, leaving them wanting more.The original trail was 520 meters long. With the addition of the extended section and newly built paths, it now forms a nearly 1-kilometer route, taking about 30 minutes to walk around.
