Hydrangeas in Full Bloom at Yangmingshan: A Colorful Sea of Flowers

Every year, the Calla Lily Season attracts over 600,000 visitors to admire the blossoms. After May, calla lily production dwindles as the plants enter their summer dormancy period, making way for hydrangeas. Until the end of June, visitors can head to the various hydrangea gardens around Zhuzihu to enjoy the flowers and take photos. Some farms also allow visitors to pick flowers—be sure to ask the farm owners before doing so.

The hydrangea fields in Zhuzihu cover approximately 5 hectares and include 7 to 8 varieties in a wide range of colors, such as pure white, pink with red edges, light pink, mauve, light blue, and blue. Both large-flowered and medium-flowered varieties are planted throughout the farms. Local farmers also noted that due to more stable weather this year compared to last, the blooms are even more vibrant, with richly layered colors—perfect for memorable photos.
