● Golden Shower Tree
◎ Chiayi Suantou Golden Shower Tree Bicycle Path
Every May and June is the blooming season for golden shower trees. Their golden flowers fall with the wind, creating a dreamy and enchanting "golden rain." Located in Suantou, Chiayi, the bicycle path is lined with golden shower trees along its 450-meter stretch. Follow Provincial Highway 157 past the Liujiao Township Office, then turn left about 20 meters before reaching the Liutou Work Station of the Jianan Irrigation Association, and you’ll see the bicycle path. It’s just a two-minute drive from there.

● Cherry Blossoms
◎ Phoenix Nature Education AreaChasing and admiring cherry blossoms in spring has become a nationwide trend across Taiwan. In Nantou County’s Lugu Township, a favorite hidden gem for central Taiwan locals, the pink cherry blossom tunnel at Phoenix Nature Education Area is especially romantic. With over 300 cherry blossom trees planted—including varieties such as Kawazu-zakura, double-flowered cherry, Yoshino cherry, mountain cherry, and Wushe cherry—the tunnel features Kawazu-zakura lining both sides of the 333 stone-step pathway. Delicate pink petals bloom everywhere, creating a fairytale-like, dreamy scene.
