To celebrate the arrival of the summer solstice, the Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has officially launched the “2015 Taiwan Summer Solstice 235” series of events on June 21st. To highlight the summer solstice’s culinary offerings, this year the Tourism Bureau has not only partnered with FamilyMart convenience stores and Chun Yee Delicious Co., Ltd. for a range of exclusive products and promotions, but also joined forces with the Central Weather Bureau and the local governments of Chiayi County, Chiayi City, Kaohsiung City, and Taitung County, as well as six national scenic area administrations — East Coast National Scenic Area, Huatung Valley National Scenic Area, Alishan National Scenic Area, Siraya National Scenic Area, Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan National Scenic Area, and Penghu National Scenic Area — totaling 11 organizations that have jointly organized 13 exciting events.
