The Gudetama Special Exhibition Lands in Hong Kong – Three Themed Cafés Open During the Event!

The ultra-popular Sanrio character Gudetama is making a summer debut in Hong Kong. From July 7 to September 6, Gudetama will be featured in a large-scale exhibition at Langham Place in Mong Kok. In addition, themed cafés offering three different cuisine styles, along with a Gudetama Pop-up Store, will open to accompany everyone’s summer vacation!

Starbucks Grass Mountain Branch opened on October 4, unveiling its interior design and highlights. The branch-exclusive enamel cups are also a must-have collectible for Starbucks fans. The venue is filled with the rich aroma of coffee blended with an American country vibe and modern art elements. On the opening day, many coffee enthusiasts and Starbucks fans were already there to witness the launch.

The immensely popular Sanrio character Gudetama in JapanSanrioonce ranked second in Japan’s “Food Character Selection Contest”2013and is a brand-new character that debuted that year. Now, Gudetama has made a fresh arrival from Japan to Hong Kong to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Langham Place mall. In addition to a large-scale exhibition around the mall, a pop-up shop selling Gudetama-themed merchandise will also be set up. Moreover, on the Sky Plaza on the fourth floor, a “Sofuto Town” (Hong Kong’s nickname for Gudetama is Sofuto Tamago) will be created.(Hong Kong calls Gudetama “Sofuto Tamago” (Soft Egg))Fans can not only ride on a Gudetama-themed train but also visit three themed cafés offering different cuisines, including sushi, Chinese food, and Western pastries—allowing everyone to enjoy both the exhibition and a delicious meal!
