The 16th New Taipei City Gongliao International Ocean Music Festival has been canceled in response to the Formosa Fun Coast dust explosion incident, as many young people are still fighting for their lives in hospitals. Considering the current social atmosphere is not suitable for holding large-scale celebratory events, the New Taipei City Government announced that the originally scheduled "New Taipei City Gongliao International Ocean Music Festival" from July 24 to 26 this year will not take place. This is also the first time the Ocean Music Festival has been canceled since its inception.

Additionally, the list of the top 10 finalists for this year has been announced on June 24. The participating bands have invested a great deal of time and effort into the competition. Therefore, the finals of the "Ocean Indie Music Awards" top 10 will be held at a later date by the city government, and relevant competition information will be announced separately.
