Finally, it's here—the Gudetama-themed restaurant is coming to Taipei’s East District!

The theme restaurant craze was sparked in 2015 by the Secret Garden Café & Light Meals featuring the ugly-cute characters, followed by the openings of the Snoopy Café, Miffy, Kumamon Café, and the Hello Kitty Hot Pot Shop. In 2016, after the Pompompurin Restaurant opened, the super-popular Sanrio character Gudetama is set to make its debut with the “Gudetama Chef – Gudetama Five-Star Chef Restaurant” in Taipei’s East District. Sanrio has also exclusively designed a “Five-Star Chef – Gudetama” character for the restaurant. The opening date of the Gudetama-themed restaurant has not yet been confirmed, but the location will be in the alley at No. 236, Section 1, Dunhua South Road.
