From May each year, the golden needle flowers at Muxinquan Leisure Farm begin to bloom successively, painting the farm in vast, dazzling expanses of golden yellow. Perched atop rolling mountain ridges, the farm offers sweeping views of lush green woodlands—especially enchanting at sunrise and dusk when the radiant sunlight gently caresses the land, creating especially moving vistas. The golden needle flowers here are divided into lowland and alpine varieties. The lowland variety blooms from May to July, while the alpine variety flourishes from August to October. ● Hengshanping Leisure Park

Spanning 1.6 hectares, Hengshanping Leisure Park in Meishan Township, Chiayi, was originally planted with mixed woodland and mahogany trees. A few years ago, to revitalize unused space and beautify the area, a project was launched to encourage public participation in tree planting and establish a leisure park. Now, the park is lush with trees and flowers, featuring cherry blossoms, osmanthus, red plum, apricot blossoms, peach blossoms, and golden needle flowers. Walking paths and mountain trails have also been added, among which the golden needle flowers are the most eye-catching. The golden needle flowers in the park typically bloom around Mother’s Day in May, lasting through the end of June.
