With a history of over 100 years, Hsinchu Park now has around 70–80% of its cherry blossoms in full bloom, making it the perfect time to enjoy the view!
Hsinchu City Government also held a flower appreciation event on February 24th, inviting everyone to come to Hsinchu Park for a Japanese-style cherry blossom picnic!

Built in 1926, Hsinchu Park is the oldest and largest park in Hsinchu City. In recent years, Hsinchu City Government has included the park in its “Cross-domain Highlight Regeneration Project.” The Lichi Garden within the park was completed in 2018, restoring the water’s-edge garden landscape while preserving historic sites, century-old trees, and traditional Japanese garden architecture—offering a truly unique experience!
Currently, there are about 850 cherry blossom trees in Hsinchu Park, with their pale pink blossoms creating an elegant and enchanting sea of flowers. In response, the city government has specially planned a one-day picnic music event, inviting everyone to gather under the cherry blossoms of this century-old park and enjoy a picnic with family and friends.
On “Picnic Day,” be sure to bring your own picnic mat and delicious food to enjoy a meal on the grassy area of the circular stage in the park. There will also be live music performances by bands on the stage, as well as exciting street acrobatics. While admiring the cherry blossoms and enjoying great food, you can also take in the wonderful performances for a relaxing and delightful picnic experience.
