Japan’s Huis Ten Bosch launched the world’s first robot hotel, “Weird Hotel,” on August 17. It offers the same five-star luxury accommodation experience as other hotels, but the most novel aspect is that everything from the moment you check in is handled entirely by robots—even including services like drone food delivery—this all-new, attention-grabbing service model is sure to spark curiosity.

Upon entering the Weird Hotel, guests are immediately greeted by beautiful humanoid robots and dinosaur robots at the front desk, who handle check-in procedures fluently in both Japanese and English. Although guests still need to fill out their own registration information, after completing the check-in process, an automated luggage cart will take care of transporting the bags and leading the way, kicking off a stay fully serviced by robots.
