The Mexican government invited the graffiti group "Germen Crew" and sociologists to collaborate on a project to beautify the town. They painted the houses of over a hundred households in Palmitas with various bright and vibrant colors, giving the area an entirely new look. This not only attracted tourists but also effectively reduced local crime, drawing significant media attention.

Palmitas is located in the Pachuca region of Mexico and has a total of 452 households with a population of over 1,800. It was once a town plagued by crime. The project painted a total of 209 houses, transforming originally plain white homes into a hillside mosaic of irregular, vivid colors. The project was quite massive, taking the graffiti team two and a half months to complete. During this time, it also brought about a unique transformation in the town. What started as work done solely by the graffiti team gradually saw many local residents volunteering to help, greatly boosting the town's sense of community and fostering more vibrant interactions among its people.
