The Alishan Forest Railway launches a tea-themed cruise train in the fourth quarter, with tickets officially going on sale on September 9 and services beginning in October. The forest railway will take passengers to the only "Liyuanliao Station" in Meishan Township, where they can explore the acacia tree scenic viewpoint, offering views of a previously unseen Alishan secret spot.

The Alishan Forest Railway climbs from an altitude of 30 meters up to the 2,216-meter-high Alishan Station, passing through Chiayi City, Zhushan Township, Meishan Township, and Alishan Township. The only station located within Meishan Township is Liyuanliao Station. Situated at an altitude of 905 meters, this unstaffed flag stop rarely sees trains stopping there except for train crossings. Next to the station is an acacia tree scenic viewpoint called "Jianqing Platform," which boasts captivating scenery. Even Japan’s Showa Crown Prince and former President Chiang Kai-shek once visited this spot. It is a lesser-known secret attraction in Alishan.

Fourth-Quarter Forest Railway Cruise TrainTicket booking methods for the cruise-style train are divided between group travelers and general passengers. Group travelers can book 29 days (inclusive) before the travel date, while general passengers can book 15 days (inclusive) in advance. Booking rules and precautions are as follows:

October: 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
November: 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th
December: 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd
● Group Traveler Booking Rules:
Booking opens: 29 days (inclusive) before the travel date. For example: bookings for October 7th open on September 9th.
