According to the Central Weather Bureau, such clouds are called altocumulus clouds. They tend to appear when cool air from the northeast wind meets warmer sea surfaces. The presence of altocumulus clouds indicates strengthened northeast winds, increased moisture, and signs of worsening weather. The Bureau noted that from the afternoon of the 10th through Saturday, the weather will remain sunny and pleasant, but starting Sunday, as the northeast wind strengthens again, the likelihood of rain increases in northern mountainous areas and eastern regions.
