In May 2014, a 95-meter-long water slide appeared in Bristol, UK. Artists Luke Jerram and local organizations collaborated to offer the public a fresh perspective on the town. The one-day event attracted over 70,000 participants, both locals and tourists, who thoroughly enjoyed Bristol. Now, the spirit of showcasing the charm of small towns is being brought to life in Jiji, Taiwan, with the “Slide Through Town” event.

Experience the Green Tunnel from a new angle and rediscover Jiji Town. The organizers chose a town rather than a city to allow more travelers to deeply explore Jiji, which is not just about its miniature train—there are also mountain bananas, handmade guitar shops, the only remaining traditional snake kiln, and Taiwan’s first wildlife emergency rescue station, all lesser-known features of Jiji.

The “Slide Through Town” water slide event offers online ticket sales. For NT$799, participants can enjoy unlimited rides for two hours, become a town VIP, receive an exclusive passport, and collect surprise gifts from around the town, exploring Jiji’s unique cultural landscape. Only 2,000 spots are available over the two days.
