Millions of flowers bloom in a vibrant corridor of floral splendor

Autumn in Japan isn’t just about maple leaves—Tottori Prefecture is also home to a spectacular display of millions of colorful blooms. Tottori’s renowned Flower Corridor officially enters its autumn floral season starting in September and hosts the “Autumn Festival,” which runs until November 3. Throughout the expansive park, visitors can admire millions of pots of scarlet sage and cosmos in full bloom, offering breathtaking views that are truly awe-inspiring.

The Tottori Flower Corridor is located in the western part of Tottori Prefecture, spanning a vast area of 50 hectares, and is touted as Japan’s largest-scale flower park. The entire Flower Corridor resembles an open-air botanical garden nestled in nature, featuring a rich variety of flowers and plants that change with the seasons, presenting a colorful and ever-evolving landscape. No matter when you visit, you’re sure to encounter stunningly beautiful scenery.

The Flower Corridor is designed with the central domed greenhouse at its core, radiating outward. The surrounding gardens encircle a circular observation corridor. Here, visitors can simply stroll leisurely along the pathways, immersing themselves in the beautiful floral scenery. For those who prefer less walking, the park also offers a miniature train. Tickets can be purchased at the main entrance, and each ride takes approximately 20 minutes to complete a full loop—perfect for those short on time or looking for a relaxing experience.
