The South Korean idol group Big Bang enjoys immense global popularity, and recently, the leader G-Dragon (GD) has crossed over into the F&B scene by investing heavily to open a coffee shop called “Monsant Cafe” in Jeju Island, South Korea, which has quickly become a hot topic attraction on the island.

Monsant Café is located by the Aewol (Pyeopdo) coastline, where the pleasant scenery has previously attracted the filming of many Korean dramas. The café also takes full advantage of Jeju Island’s exceptional natural landscape, featuring large glass panels that allow guests to enjoy Jeju’s stunning blue seascape whether seated indoors or outdoors.

The indoor space departs from GD’s usual edgy and fashionable image—Monsant Café avoids extravagant décor, instead embracing a natural and understated industrial resort style. Weathered stone walls paired with stylish wooden furniture and decor instantly put visitors at ease, allowing them to relax and savor both the coffee and the view outside. Monsant Café is currently in soft opening and is expected to officially launch in mid-October.
