Dubai is every architect’s dream destination, where even the wildest ideas can come to life. A Polish architect has proposed building a tennis court underwater in Dubai, allowing people to play or watch matches while enjoying the novel experience of gazing up at fish swimming overhead and the ocean as their sky.

This design, proposed by Polish architect Krzysztof Kotala, plans to construct an underwater tennis court with a transparent, arched ceiling near Dubai’s iconic Burj Al Arab hotel. The impressive proposal not only includes the construction of seven tennis courts but also offers other recreational spaces. However, realizing an underwater tennis court comes with numerous challenges, including water pressure, building materials, and the need for a massive glass dome estimated to cost billions of dollars.
