2015 Xinshe Flower Sea: The Kaleidoscope of Art Makes a Colorful Debut

Taiwan’s most popular autumn flower sea event, the “2015 Xinshe Flower Sea & Taichung International Floral Carpet Festival,” is expected to run from November 7 to December 6, spanning a full month that combines flowers and visual arts, presenting something different from traditional static flower displays. Utilizing the vitality of flowers and integrating them with a visual arts feast, beautiful blooms are transformed into three-dimensional installations, inviting everyone to join this most beautiful autumn flower-viewing journey.

This year’s Xinshe Flower Sea adopts the theme “Kaleidoscope of Art,” creating the main floral carpet visual concept of the “Heart of the Floral Kaleidoscope.” A giant kaleidoscope standing 11 meters tall is used to offer visitors the most romantic and dreamlike visual experience. In addition to the colorful, three-dimensional flower arrangements throughout the park, the event also incorporates the fantastical adventure story of the “Lily” and “Cosmos” flower fairies—flora native and abundant in Taichung—making the Taichung International Floral Carpet Festival even more engaging.

The expansive floral carpet area is divided into three major sections, including the “Kaleidoscope Waltz,” decorated with visual art and delicate floral arrangements using colorful dots to create the most vibrant section of the floral carpet festival; the “Rainbow Canvas,” bursting with brilliant hues; and the “Happiness Magic House,” featuring adorable and distinctive designs. Each uniquely themed section offers a refreshing visual experience. In addition, this year’s flower sea festival includes five major themes: “Dream Garden,” “Low-Carbon Lohas,” “Happy Encounters,” “World of Art,” and “Flowers in Taichung.” These use a variety of vibrant floral landscapes to tell vivid stories, leaving visitors amazed at the endless forms flowers can take.
