Flip Flop Hostel is conveniently situated near the bustling Taipei Transfer Station (Taipei Main Station) and Taipei Railway Station. Housed in a renovated former Taiwan Railways employee dormitory, it may not have an eye-catching sign, but from afar you’ll spot vibrant murals by local interdisciplinary artist Andi Yang painted boldly on the exterior walls. Inside, soft, warm hues brighten the space, complementing the high ceilings to create an exceptionally cozy ambiance. The hostel, converted from an old building, retains features like the stairwell’s original dormitory windows and exposed brick, offering a nostalgic charm that makes guests feel connected to the space and more attuned to themselves.
