Taiwan High Speed Rail is celebrating the launch of three new stations—Miaoli, Changhua, and Yunlin—on December 1, 2015, by launching a special "New Stations Launch Promotion." Passengers who purchase a "designated ticket type" for travel between December 1 and 15 (a 15-day period), and whose journey includes any one of the three new stations (Miaoli, Changhua, or Yunlin) as either the departure or arrival station, can exchange their original ticket for one free standard-class reserved-seat ticket for the same route, valid until January 31, 2016.

To invite everyone to experience the new "one-day living circle" and witness the transportation highlights in the Miaoli, Changhua, and Yunlin regions, THSR stated that passengers traveling between December 1 and December 15, 2015, with a “designated ticket type” where either the departure or arrival station is Miaoli, Changhua, or Yunlin, and who have actual entry/exit records at any of these three stations, can go to the station ticket counter to exchange for one free standard-class reserved-seat ticket for the same route. (For example: If you purchase a full-price standard-class reserved seat ticket from Taipei to Yunlin, you can exchange it for a free ticket from Yunlin to Taipei or Taipei to Yunlin after your trip.)

Each eligible ticket qualifies for one free ticket for the same route (even if both the departure and arrival stations are among the three new stations, only one free ticket will be issued). Tickets without actual entry/exit records at Miaoli, Changhua, or Yunlin stations are not eligible for the free ticket exchange.
※ "Designated ticket types" refer to: full-price standard-class reserved seats without any existing discounts, 20% off business-class full fares, full-price standard-class non-reserved seats, 4% off weekday off-peak full fares, or 5% off regular group full fares.
※ Original tickets that already qualify for statutory discounts such as senior, disabled, or child fares, or other THSR promotional offers, are not eligible for the free ticket exchange.
※ Free tickets are valid until January 31, 2016, but not applicable during the New Year holiday travel period (December 31, 2015, to January 4, 2016).
※ Other details:
1. The exchanged ticket is a standard-class reserved seat, and no changes can be made after exchange.
2. Passengers who purchased discounted tickets for travel between December 1 and December 15, 2015, including Miaoli, Changhua, or Yunlin stations (such as “early bird discounts”), and wish to switch to this promotion, may visit any station ticket counter to refund and repurchase their tickets without a service fee.
3. Any changes to the promotion details will be announced separately by THSR.
