Taiwan Tourism Passport with 170 Merchant Discounts Offered

The "Southern Taiwan Tourism Passport," jointly issued by the Southern Taiwan Joint Service Center of the Executive Yuan, the Yunlin-Tainan Joint Service Center, and the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, has entered its tenth edition. These three agencies serve as a resource integration platform for the seven counties and cities in southern Taiwan, joining forces with over a hundred tourism businesses in the south to promote the region together. They have compiled publications and placed them at transportation hubs across Taiwan for free distribution. Distribution points include rest areas along national highways, train stations, high-speed rail stations, MRT stations, post offices, and tourism service centers under the Tourism Bureau. Additionally, the passport was distributed in 2015 at the International Travel Fair and at overseas locations such as Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Malaysia. Digital versions including an e-book and APP were also launched, allowing tourists to download them for free. Even without the physical handbook, travelers can still make full use of its content.

To allow the public to fully experience the highlights of travel in the seven counties and cities of southern Taiwan, this year’s "Amazing Southern Taiwan: Leisure Mini-Trips ~ 2015 Southern Taiwan Tourism Passport" features rich and practical content. Not only does it introduce six national scenic areas, five national parks, and two forest district management offices through special feature sections, shaping the image and travel appeal of southern Taiwan, but it also includes themed sections covering a wide range of food, shopping, sightseeing spots across the seven counties and cities
