The American Planet Ocean Underwater Hotel has obtained a U.S. trademark patent and is set to become the world’s first underwater hotel.

The American Planet Ocean Underwater Hotel will be situated at a depth of 8 to 9 meters underwater. Guests can travel between the water’s surface and the hotel via a pressurized elevator that feels like something out of a sci-fi movie. The hotel will feature a total of 12 rooms, with large glass panels offering guests unobstructed views of the underwater landscape. What makes the Planet Ocean Underwater Hotel particularly unique is that it is not a fixed structure — it is a movable "building," thus classified as a “ship.” This means it can be relocated to safer areas in the event of natural disasters such as typhoons.

The Planet Ocean Hotel has already identified potential dive-friendly locations for its bases, including Hawaii, Malaysia, Egypt, and the Bahamas. Currently, the construction project is seeking investment buyers, with the 12 suites estimated to cost around £13 million.
