The limited-time New Year’s greeting performance event lasts only five days (from January 1st to January 5th), while New Year’s special merchandise goes on sale starting November 13th, 2015, and special New Year’s meals are available from December 25th, 2015. To celebrate the Year of the Monkey (Monkey sign), a plush toy charm of Monkey Abu is also being released. The Mickey and Minnie kimono couple is another popular item, and the Mickey Daruma popcorn bucket has become a must-buy collectible for fans.

Around 60 varieties of New Year celebration goods started going on sale in mid-November. Starting December 26th, Disney hotels within the park also offer special set meals featuring decorations such as kadomatsu (New Year’s pine decorations) and daruma (dolls symbolizing good luck), bringing a strong festive New Year’s atmosphere.
