Known as Japan’s largest winter light festival, the Meihana Illumination at Nagashima Meihana no Sato in Mie Prefecture kicked off on October 24, 2015, and ran until May 8, 2016. This winter light event collaborated with the famous cartoon “My Melody’s Story” to recreate the four seasons and day-and-night scenery of the Alps with countless LED lights, evoking childhood memories. In addition, displays such as the water illumination and the Light Corridor were also featured, offering visitors a romantic night filled with a magical atmosphere.

Meihana no Sato is a large outdoor park themed around seasonal flowers and plants, known for having Japan’s largest “Flower Square,” where various flowers bloom successively all year round. During the winter light display period, the beauty of nature is also interpreted through various light decorations. In addition to the “My Melody’s Story” themed light area, popular installations from previous years such as the Light Corridor, water illuminations, and the Light Cloud Sea also made a return, along with the newly added Blue World, ensuring that every visitor can experience the magnificent world of Japan’s largest light event.
