The flowering season has arrived in Xinyi Township, Nantou. In January, as the peak period of plum blossoms officially begins, cherry blossoms also start to bloom quietly. The 2016 Xinyi Township Cherry Blossom Season series of events kicks off today at the picturesque Yu Shan Sightseeing Tea Plantation. A variety of captivating tea ceremonies and musical performances will be held on-site, inviting everyone to come and admire the stunning beauty of Taiwan’s native Formosan cherry blossoms.

The Yu Shan Tea Plantation is a scenic sightseeing tea area covering approximately 50 hectares. The plantation is planted with thousands of cherry, peach, and plum trees. When the flowers are in full bloom, the pink petals scattered across the emerald-green, terraced tea fields create a vibrant and romantic scene.

The Lawnhead Sightseeing Leisure Farm plants beautiful rapeseed flowers along the paths, and the over 4,000 cherry blossom trees by the roadside create a misty pink shower. Visitors can leisurely stroll through the tea plantation, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the tea countryside and the rich aroma of tea, and experience the relaxing rural life.
