“Bonn” was the capital of West Germany until just over a decade ago and remained an important political hub. It’s also the hometown of the composer Beethoven, making it a place rich in both cultural and historical charm. When visiting Bonn in spring, it’s recommended to stroll along the ancient city by the Rhine River and spend some extra time on Heerstrasse. Normally, Heerstrasse is just an ordinary lane, but come March and April, it transforms into a captivating cherry blossom avenue.
