The much-discussed High Heel Chapel in Budai, Chiayi, is expected to open part of its grounds to visitors on February 6, with a large influx of tourists anticipated. Relevant authorities have also announced surrounding traffic diversion routes and Spring Festival travel itineraries—prospective visitors should take note.

During the Spring Festival, roadside free parking will be available on the access roads to Budai Commercial Port (the longest walking distance is about 900 meters, with sea views along the way). Thanks to the coordination of relevant authorities, over 1,000 parking spaces have been prepared. Visitors planning to see the High Heel Chapel are encouraged to park here and walk to the site—please avoid illegal parking.

Additionally, the Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan Management Office has assisted in setting up temporary signage to guide visitors. It is recommended that after entering Budai and crossing the Buxin Bridge, drivers follow signs to turn right onto the alternative route “Shun’an Road” to access the outer ring road and reach the temporary port parking lot. Along the way, visitors can also stop by the Budai Yacht Harbor, which features large public restrooms to spare them the hassle of queuing at the chapel’s facilities.

The glass High Heel Chapel is scheduled to open on the morning of the 6th, with a limit of 1,000 visitors per time slot to prevent overcrowding.Visitors arriving by car can enter via Fuxing Bridge and follow guides to Shun’an Road. Once the 1,000-person limit is reached, signs will be displayed at Fuxing Bridge, and entry will be allowed every 5 minutes based on crowd levels.
