New Attractions for the New Year – More Kiwi Jou's Art Pieces Join the Happiness Transfer Station

Yilan Welcomes New Kiwi Jou Attractions Again!* The Yilan Happiness Transfer Station has launched a new temporary exhibition of large-scale Kiwi Jou art installations in conjunction with New Year events, running from February 7 to 14. A full official opening is expected in April. Fans of Kiwi Jou who want an early peek should make the most of the Spring Festival holiday.

Yilan Railway Station’s Kiwi Jou Park has long been a favorite attraction among visitors to Yilan. Characters that leap from picture books into the real world bring more imagination to everyday life. The Yilan County Government has transformed the former Taiwan Motor Transport station, revitalizing the long-idle Kuo-Kuang Bus terminal into a new attraction called the “Yilan Happiness Transfer Station.” The goal is to create job opportunities for disadvantaged groups within the county and provide daytime care services for individuals with physical and mental disabilities. Once completed, there will also be physical retail spaces, with hopes to combine it with the existing Kiwi Jou Park in front of the train station to offer visitors a complete Kiwi Jou cultural corridor.

Among the installations at the Happiness Transfer Station, the most adorable and eye-catching pieces are the 12-meter-tall giraffe and the 4-meter-tall pink elephant, both designed based on the Kiwi Jou picture book “Forget to Give a Kiss.” Additionally, visitors can see the story’s protagonist Little Tree sitting adorably with Pudding the dog at the bus stop in front of the transfer station, or experience dreamlike scenes that bring Little Tree’s imagination to life – all becoming playful facilities perfect for children.
