The Taiwan High Speed Rail Bureau announced that the construction of Taipei Station (A1) on the Airport MRT Line has been completed. Taipei A1 Station intersects with the High-Speed Rail, Taiwan Railways Administration, Taipei Metro Tamsui-Xinyi Line, Banqiao-Taipei Nangang Line, Songshan Line, as well as intercity bus services. Once operational, it will also serve as the national gateway for international travelers entering and exiting Taipei City.

The A1 station features three underground levels: the platform level on the third basement, the concourse level on the second basement, and the first basement, which houses not only the station hall but also a pre-departure check-in service area, a car pick-up/drop-off zone, and a taxi waiting area. Additionally, there are underground passageways on the east and west sides connecting to Taipei Railway Station / High-Speed Rail Taipei Station and Taipei Metro Beimen Station, facilitating transfers to other modes of public transport. The ground level serves as the main entrance and exit. Currently, the construction of the station building has been completed. The mechanical and electrical systems installed by the Taiwan High Speed Rail Bureau within the station — including the automated fare collection system, baggage handling system, and flight information display system — have also been finished.

Taipei Airport MRT Station will offer pre-departure check-in and baggage drop-off services, allowing passengers to check in their luggage, select their seats, and obtain boarding passes earlier at the station, while completing baggage security screening and check-in procedures. They can then continue sightseeing or conducting business in the city before taking the Airport MRT or other transportation to Taoyuan International Airport for their flights. Currently, the pre-departure check-in and baggage handling equipment — including check-in counters, baggage conveyors, baggage trolley transport systems, and baggage trolleys — have all been taken over by Taoyuan International Airport Corporation, which is conducting pre-operational training and drills in preparation for launch.
