As spring gradually approaches, the magnificent blossoms of the season are something to look forward to with great anticipation. From March 12 to March 27, 2016, the NTU Mountain Experimental Farm held the “Spring Feast” event, inviting everyone to come up the mountain to enjoy the vibrant energy of spring together.

The NTU Mountain Experimental Farm is located approximately 14.5 kilometers along Provincial Highway 14A, at an altitude of 2,100 meters. Its climate and scenery are both unique, and especially in spring, the blooming flowers and romantic ambiance are truly enchanting. A “Spring Feast” event is held every year in March, during which visitors can enter by purchasing tickets. The 2016 Spring Feast event took “cycles” as its theme, dividing the farm area into four themed zones: “The Cycle of Beauty and Life,” “The Cycle of Environment and Culture,” “The Cycle of Body and Earth,” and “The Cycle of Finite Resources.” Visitors can explore these four areas to build a mental map of the circular systems at the mountain farm.

The event offers a diverse range of activities, including a “Temperate Flower Zone” showcasing gardening and floral arrangements that reflect the concept of life aesthetics; the uniquely Taiwanese “Lady’s Slipper Orchid Exhibition”; a “Love & Recycle” zone selling the farm’s specialty publications and handmade items; an “Item Exchange” corner where reusable goods are exchanged; a “Material Exchange” activity promoting the use of eco-friendly materials; a cozy area called “Original & Natural”; a mini potted plant display titled “Early Spring Mountain Wild Grass Special Exhibition” that adorns dining tables with greenery; and a “Vegetable Field Big World” that presents agricultural cultivation. Fresh, locally grown, and environmentally friendly agricultural specialties are also sold on-site.
