The annual Japanese cherry blossom event “Fuji Shibazakura Season” is expected to officially kick off on April 16, treating visitors to a breathtaking pink floral carpet woven by 800,000 Shibazakura flowers at the foot of Mount Fuji, where vibrant colors create a stunning contrast, making it a flower festival as picturesque as a painting.

The Fuji Shibazakura Season (Fuji Shibazakura Festival) is a floral spectacle that began in 2008 and is the largest Shibazakura event in the Kanto region. It is held annually from mid-to-late April to its peak in May. This year’s Fuji Shibazakura Season runs from April 16 to May 29. The main venue is the Fuji Kosui Lake Resort, open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The large-scale display features 800,000 Shibazakura flowers, where the pink blooms harmonize beautifully with Mount Fuji and the surrounding grasslands, offering a rare and beautiful early summer sight. Admission is required: 600 yen for adults and 250 yen for children (ages 3 and up). Please note that pets are not allowed. The venue also includes food stalls for visitors to enjoy meals while admiring the flowers.
