According to the Parks Department, among this year’s exhibits, the Phalaenopsis variety “Colorful Butterfly” stands out the most, with its large pink blooms adorned with striking white spots—truly unique, like spring butterflies kissing a lover’s cheek. For those who love fragrant blooms, don’t assume orchids have looks but no scent; don’t miss the Dendrobium “Pocket Sweetheart,” which gives off a rich jasmine-like fragrance when in bloom—an amazingly sweet aroma. The Shilin Official Residence Orchid Exhibition runs from today until April 16th; orchid lovers should definitely make time to visit.
