The renowned Japanese game company Nintendo has announced its entry into Osaka Universal Studios, planning to invest 40 billion yen to create a Nintendo-themed area called “Mario area” before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Nintendo is one of the world’s most well-known gaming companies, famous for classic titles such as “Mario” and “Donkey Kong,” and also owns the popular animation “Pokémon.” In recent years, Osaka Universal Studios has not only leveraged its rich movie resources but has also actively collaborated with local anime properties like One Piece, Resident Evil, and Attack on Titan, launching numerous limited-time events that have made the park highly engaging.

This brand-new “Mario area” will follow the long-term operational model similar to the Harry Potter area, serving as a permanent themed attraction.
