March is nearing its end, and Belgium’s blue-purple dreamlike attraction is about to emerge. Located near the capital city of Brussels, Hallerbos Forest is covered in a carpet of blooming hyacinths every April and May, as if a blue-purple floral blanket has been spread across the woodland, transforming Hallerbos into a fairy-tale-like landscape.

It takes about thirty minutes to drive from central Brussels to the Hallerbos forest. Although it’s not too far away, few tourists know about this place, which was initially almost an exclusive hidden gem for locals. Every April and May, when hyacinths bloom among the woods, the blue-purple hues spread across the forest, blending with the morning mist and light to create an ethereal and serene landscape that attracts many photographers to capture the scenery.

Thanks to the far-reaching power of the internet, the existence of this fairyland has gradually been spread. Now, whenever the hyacinth flowering season arrives, it always draws crowds eager to admire this surreal beauty.
