The office chair racing rally originating from Japan is about to launch in Taiwan!
The "Tainan Office Chair Racing Rally," jointly organized by Tainan's Zhengxing Gang, Hai’an Business District Development Association, and vendors at Dacai Market, will take place from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM on April 24 at Section 2 of Hai’an Road (between Zhengxing Street and Zhongzheng Intersection). The event will feature a 30-meter individual speed race and a 2-hour endurance race. Surrounding businesses will also offer special promotions on the day of the event!

As the race date approaches, participants are showing strong determination to win. One of the contestants, also a sponsor — Tainan Royal Park Hotel — recently posted on their official Facebook page under the theme “Office Chair Gods,” showcasing General Manager Tang Bochuan practicing around various areas inside the hotel. A former national swimmer, he is training diligently every day aiming to achieve “perfect harmony between man and chair, swift as the wind,” vowing to win the championship and attracting many online viewers.

The Office Chair Racing Rally originated in Kirara Shopping District, Kyotanabe City, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. It’s a self-organized event by the business district that has sparked widespread discussion since its inception. Shopping districts across Japan have eagerly emulated the format, making it a model for integrated community events. This year marks the first time Japan has taken the event overseas, and Tainan is the first stop.
