Every May is the blooming season for Taiwan’s rhododendrons and Formosan azaleas. The red and white blossoms cover the mountains, forming a sea of rhododendrons on Hehuan East Peak. Together with Taiwan fir and Yushan bamboo grass, the blue sky and white clouds set against the green fields make for a refreshing scene. Visitors looking to admire the flowers in the mountains should seize the opportunity.

The rhododendrons along the Hehuan East Peak Trail are in full bloom. To protect the high-mountain ecological environment, the Dongshi Forest District Office calls on flower-viewing visitors to practice public-mindedness while hiking the trail: do not trample on vegetation on either side, avoid taking shortcuts, and jointly cherish the high-mountain environmental resources, preserving the pristine beauty for the mountains and forests.
