Vanilla Air announced that starting September 14, it will launch a new route between Taipei and Okinawa, currently scheduled for seven flights per week. Flights depart Taipei at 6:10 AM daily and arrive in Okinawa at 8:45 AM, while the return flight departs Okinawa at 9:10 PM and arrives in Taipei at 9:45 PM. Tickets officially go on sale on the official website at 1:00 PM on May 26, with one-way fares starting from NT$1,688, though promotional details remain undecided.

Vanilla Air, a 100% owned subsidiary of Japan’s All Nippon Airways, sees frequent exchanges between Taiwan and Japan and has added the Taipei–Okinawa route. The timing caters to Taiwanese travelers' preference for early departures and late returns. Many are already gearing up to snag tickets and use their weekends for a short trip. The next new destination from Taiwan under Vanilla Air is rumored to be Thailand, a favorite vacation spot among locals.
