Minna Island is a small islet surrounded by layers of coral. It takes about 15 minutes to reach by ferry from the main island of Okinawa. Viewed from above, Minna Island is crescent-shaped and has been nicknamed the "croissant island" because it remains largely undeveloped, preserving its natural resources. With crystal-clear waters and fine white sands, it has become a new tourist hotspot in Okinawa.

With a population of just over 60 people, Minna Island covers an area of approximately 0.47 square kilometers and has a maximum elevation of 27 meters. All daily necessities on the island are supplied from the main island of Okinawa. However, its exceptional natural resources—such as the beautiful fine white sandy beaches surrounding the entire island and the crystal-clear, clean seawater—attract over 60,000 visitors each year for water activities.
