The Changhua County Government has built Taiwan’s first “diamond-shaped twin-tower spine bridge.” Recently, nighttime lighting tests commenced, with colorful LED spotlights projecting onto the bridge towers and stay cables, creating dazzling and vivid light effects that illuminate the Changhua Plain in brilliant colors.

This twin-tower spine bridge functions as an access road to the high-speed rail station in Changhua, spanning the Western Line of the Taiwan Railways and connecting to Highway 76. With cement towers standing 20 meters tall and a span of 250 meters, the bridge features 92 high-efficiency full-color LED spotlights that project various patterns. The lighting changes according to seasons and holidays, allowing passengers on both Taiwan Railways and high-speed rail passing through Changhua to admire this uniquely elegant and modern spine bridge.

The Changhua twin-tower spine bridge was officially completed and opened to traffic during the summer of 2017. Currently undergoing nighttime LED spotlight testing—conducted one to two times per week—it will be illuminated every evening upon final completion, becoming a captivating new landmark in Changhua.
