The sight of these delicate, pink-hued flower balls dangling high on the trees is incredibly soothing. From afar, they may resemble cherry blossoms, but this sea of pink-hued flowering trees is actually the “magenta trumpet tree.” Its name is as enchanting as its appearance.

In spring, besides cherry blossoms, the trumpet tree blossom sea is also a must-see floral wonder. The clusters of soft pink flower balls are the hallmark of the trumpet tree. When all the buds burst into bloom, they look like pink bubbles—truly dreamlike.

Magenta trumpet trees come in peach pink, golden yellow, and pink varieties. From around Lunar New Year until April each year, you can spot their graceful presence along roadsides or in parks.
