The 2016 Taipei Water Festival will be held from June 25 to August 31 at the Gongguan Water Source Park. In addition to the existing water-themed gardens, temporary play equipment will be installed to provide more space for water activities and relaxation. A series of activities, including interactive water features, diverse programs, and environmental education courses, will also help visitors learn about healthy water play, ecological environments, and the intersection of culture and art.

The 2016 Yilan International Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival takes place from July 2 to August 14 at the Dongshan River Water Park. This year’s theme is “Childlike Heart,” with the festival focusing on five major concepts: “Play,” “Create,” “Perform,” “Explore,” and “Exchange.” It aims to bring back genuine childhood joy and allow visitors to experience real happiness.
3. Nantou Shueili Water Play Festival

From July 16 to August 28, the Shueili Water Play Festival will take place every weekend at the Shueili Water Play Park. The park uses clean, fresh water directly sourced from the headwaters of the Shueili River, which undergoes multiple filtration processes to ensure hygiene and safety—giving parents peace of mind. The Shueili Township Office has also added parking spaces and free shuttle buses to ensure all visitors can enjoy a fun and refreshing summer.
4. Nantou Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village

Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village has launched a limited-time summer water slide, stretching 150 meters in length. Plummeting from the mountaintop, it not only delivers the cool thrill of water play but also winds through the park’s cherry blossom tree groves, letting riders enjoy a refreshing breeze along the way—creating a unique forest water-sliding experience.
