The Alishan Forest Railway Administration launched the ‘Blissful•Taiping’ cruise-style train in September. This forest railway cruise will take you to the culturally rich Meishan Taiping Community, where you can stroll through the lush Mengzong Forest Trail, enjoy scenic tea plantations along the way, and experience a rich literary and ecological journey. Each participant will also receive an acrylic keychain as a souvenir.

The ‘Blissful•Taiping’ cruise-style train package is priced at NT$850 per set, covering round-trip train fare from Chiayi to Liyuanliao Station (NT$534), grass jelly dessert, an economical set meal (vegetarian meals require prior arrangement with station staff), and guided tour commentary (excluding shuttle bus fare and travel insurance). Upon arrival at Liyuanliao Station, passengers need to take a shuttle bus at NT$250 per person (same price for all ages, including children and seniors).

Each session is limited to 100 participants. Children under 6 years old who do not occupy a seat may ride for free, but lunch is not included, nor are souvenirs or complimentary travel passes. Please refer to the itinerary below.

Reservations are required for the cruise-style train (tickets cannot be purchased at station windows for this forest railway cruise). Booking is divided into two categories: group bookings (10 or more people) and individual bookings. Group bookings can be made 19–22 days before the travel date, while individual bookings can be made 4–15 days before the travel date.

Travel Dates for the ‘Blissful•Taiping’ Cruise-style Train:
September: 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th
Group Booking Rules:
1. Booking Window: Opens 22 days before the travel date (inclusive). For example, booking for September 7th opens on August 17th for groups of 10 or more.
2. Booking Hours: Daily from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight) during the booking window.
3. Booking Method: Online booking
4. Train Route: Train No. 211, from Chiayi Station to Liyuanliao Station
5. Passenger Limit: 40 passengers (minimum group size: 10 people).
6. Payment Deadline: Payment must be completed within 2 days (including the booking day) at any computerized ticketing counter of Taiwan Railways, or at Alishan Forest Railway stations in Chiayi, Beimen, Fenchihu, and Alishan.
7. Ticket Pickup: Tickets can be collected at Chiayi Forest Railway Station 30 minutes before departure.
Individual Booking Rules:
1. Booking Window: Opens 15 days before the travel date (inclusive). For example, booking for September 7th opens on August 24th for individuals.
2. Booking Hours: Daily from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight) during the booking window.
3. Booking Method: Online booking
4. Train Route: Train No. 211, from Chiayi Station to Liyuanliao Station
5. Passenger Limit: 60 passengers maximum (each individual [ID number] may book up to 6 tickets).
6. Payment Deadline: Payment must be completed within 2 days (including the booking day) with ID and computer code at any Taiwan Railways computerized ticketing counter or Alishan Forest Railway stations in Chiayi, Beimen, Fenchihu, and Alishan, or via the online payment website. If booking is made within 4 days of departure, tickets or payments must be completed by 3 days before departure. For those who pay online, tickets must be picked up at Chiayi Forest Railway Station 30 minutes before departure.
7. Ticket Counter Pickup Hours: According to the operating hours of Taiwan Railways or Alishan Forest Railway ticketing counters. (Forest Railway station hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM)
