In addition, Iran is the first country in the world to ban Pokemon GO, citing security concerns. Since Pokemon GO became available in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and other regions, it has triggered massive downloads and discussion, and banned locations have been steadily announced. Aside from military camps and strategic zones off-limits to players, highways as well as Taiwan Railways and high-speed rail platforms, station areas, level crossings, and train tracks are also prohibited for gameplay due to safety concerns. New Taipei City’s Cultural Affairs Bureau has also published a full list of institutions under its jurisdiction where Pokemon GO is banned, in order to preserve the experience and environment at heritage sites and public spaces. The banned attractions are as follows:
